My Cleaning Routine

Are you having a hard time getting the house clean while balancing multiple children and work?!! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I have made cleaning the house part of our daily routine with the kids. Now, sometimes they are helping me and sometimes I get things done while they have independent/unstructured play time. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This is the schedule that works for our family and does NOT always get done or done perfectly:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I try to make beds every day (older 2 make their own bed), vacuum kitchen every night, feed dogs, take trash out, wash dishes & wipe down counters & mop kitchen every other day. Older kids help wash dishes after dinner around 5:30-6pm.

Monday’s: change bedding on all beds. Water indoor plants. And bring laundry down (wash bedding).⠀⠀⠀⠀
Tuesday’s: laundry day and folding (while kids are doing handwork). Vacuum hallway. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Wednesday’s: clean out fridge, reorganize and wipe down shelves, handles, trash bins etc. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Thursday’s: clean bathrooms and play area (wash towels). ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Friday’s: deep cleaning and kids help me (or bring a few toys to each room while I clean). Vacuum bedrooms.

More laundry on weekends too.
Every other day: clean humidifier, mop kitchen.
Once a month: clean windows in high traffic areas.
Every 3 months: replace HVAC air filters.
Every 6 months: go through emergency bags and go through kids clothes/shoes to put away or donate small sizes. Replace batteries in remote. Check smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. ⠀⠀⠀⠀
