NEW PODCAST ABOUT PARENTING, PREGNANCY AND NON-TOXIC LIVING
About Natasha aka Dr. Organic Mommy
Dr. Natasha Beck is a parenting and public health expert, mother of four, and founder of Dr. Organic Mommy, an online resource dedicated to pregnancy, parenting, nutrition, and non-toxic living. As a new parent navigating a confusing marketplace filled with aggressive marketing and limited regulation, Natasha was struck by the lack of transparency and accessible, evidence-based resources for families. She created Dr. Organic Mommy to empower parents with practical tools and trustworthy information, helping them make informed decisions and raise confident, self-aware, and compassionate children.
In addition to her work in health and non-toxic living, Natasha is deeply passionate about guiding families through the challenges of modern technology. She educates parents on digital wellness, supporting them in reducing children’s screen time, thoughtfully and progressively introducing technology, and delaying smartphones in developmentally appropriate ways- all while fostering a healthy relationship with the digital world for the entire family.
Natasha’s parenting philosophy integrates multiple evidence-informed and child-centered approaches, including RIE Parenting, the Pikler approach, Waldorf education, cognitive behavioral therapy, and play therapy.
She personally researches and tests every product featured on this site. Transparency is central to her mission, from ingredient sourcing to manufacturing practices. Unless explicitly stated, content is not sponsored. All proceeds from the site, including sponsored posts, affiliate links, and her Amazon shop, are donated directly to charity.
Natasha holds a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in pediatric neuropsychology from Pepperdine University, and a Master of Public Health with a focus on child and family health from the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California. She is also certified in Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities through Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. Natasha earned her undergraduate degree in Neuroscience and Psychology from the University of Southern California.
She serves on the boards of the Environmental Working Group, The Farm Collaborative, and the Los Angeles Football Club Foundation. She and her husband also helped launch SEED School Los Angeles, the city’s first public boarding school, where they established the rooftop garden and continue to mentor students.
Natasha lives in Colorado with her husband, her high school sweetheart, and their four children. Their home is full of adventure, complete with two dogs and a growing flock of backyard chickens. In her free time, she enjoys visiting farmers markets, gardening, cooking, hiking, surfing, and skiing.
