PLAY PARENTING TIPS 💓💓💓

How you get your kids out of play is just as important as how you begin. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

My daughter and her friend were imagining that they were on a boat sailing to Mexico with the @wiwiurka_toys XL rocker. Instead of saying "It's time for lunch," which is an abrupt transition, try these three things...

1) Take a deep breath. Before tackling the mess they have made, breathe and try to engage them in their imagination (ie: "I see the dock ahead. You may park your boat to go eat lunch").

2) Allow things to stay for a couple days if possible. Every single detail of their play world is something that they took time to create. That scene is their baby.

3) Honor and nurture the things that they build because when you are building a scene, this relates to building relationships. You are telling your child "you made this and now you can take care of it." ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
