Children's sleepwear has to either fit snugly or be treated to meet flammability rules. The treated kind can mean chemical flame retardants. Snug fitting cotton is how you skip them, and the tag will tell you which one you're buying.
What I look for in kids' pajamas
Organic cotton or other plant based fibers
A snug fit, and a tag that says so, instead of a flame retardant treatment
GOTS certification, which covers organic fabric plus dyes and finishes
OEKO-TEX certification, which means the fabric is tested for harmful chemicals
Tagless necklines and nickel free snaps, because they're comfortable for little ones
This matters for your teens and tweens too, not just the little ones.
