Newborn Tips

Are you pregnant or have a newborn at home? Here are some things I did for all three of my kids but are particularly important right now given the current pandemic but remember always check with your doctor.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1) If you are able to breast feed and/or pump do so as that is one thing to help your babies immune system. See my breastfeeding/pumping tips link in profile.
2) Give your baby Vitamin D3/K2 spray starting when you get home (if you are giving formula, check if your formula has vitamin d in it and what kind as D3 is more bioavailable).
3) Take a cotton ball, wet it and squeeze out the excess water. Use your pinky to take the cotton ball and gently massage the corner of their eye. Use a separate cotton ball for each eye.
4) Washing your babies hands is important. I would do this multiple times a day.
5) If you get sick, continue breastfeeding. Wash your hands consistently and cover your mouth with a scarf or a bandana.
