IQ vs Other Air Purifiers

Air Doctor vs. IQAir: IQ air HealthPro Plus filters 1100 square feet, theirs 900 square feet, IQ air has longer filter life and they don’t have an ionizer because ionizing charges particles which makes them stick to surfaces, including in your airways.

They have an EN 1822 classification for their HEalth Pro Plus and that is greater than or equal to 99.95% efficiency at .22 microns at airflow rate less than or equal to 112 cfm.

A lot of the testing that goes on in the industry is testing of just filters themselves, and not within the actual air purifier. A lot of air purifiers have considerable leakage and they also get less efficient over time. IQ air filters actually get more efficient over time, even within the air purifier.

The air doctor is good and I have one that I compared it to. That said it has an ionizing component that you should not use. It’s made in China which I don’t like either. And the CADR score is not as high as the IQ air.

Consumer reports wrote that the molekule PECO filter works at purifying microscopic particles, but is not effective at catching larger particles. I had a molekule to try it out and I found it did not filter out smoke from the fires at all.
