People look at this and say REALLY YOU FEED THAT TO YOUR KIDS?? 🍴🍴🍴
I DO! But it is all about explaining it to the kids. I made this lunch box a "sea adventure." 🌊 🌊 🌊
Ryder was the shark and the watermelon radish "chips" were his teeth, the avocado 🥑 garlic dip was the algae/fish food, the cucumbers 🥒 and carrots 🥕 were the coral, the blood oranges 🍊 were underwater flowers 💐 , the peas were sea pearls, and the pistachios were rocks.
We talked about how he would eat it at school and I gave him these examples. I heard back from his teacher that he was so excited to tell all friends about his "sea adventure" lunch and he ate most of it!
This is what I mean when I say "make mealtime fun.” Just because you transition away from playing with toys doesn't mean that your meal can't be playful.
